This is me, two years ago

Hi! I'm Minah (Erin) Kim, a fresh graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design with a BFA in Graphic Design and a concentration in Computation, Technology, and Culture. I'm an agile visual designer with a strong foundation in typography, visual identity, and cross-disciplinary storytelling.

I specialize in typography—from font creation to its role in communication hierarchy and the development of visual systems that shape distinct identities. I also excel in the exploration phase—translating initial sketches into fully realized visual languages that support brand identity, narrative cohesion, and interactive engagement.

My design thinking is shaped by my love of film and my cross-cultural experiences in the U.S. and South Korea. These influences drive my curiosity in visual language and push me to experiment across 2D and 3D mediums. With hands-on experience in film production—particularly in lighting, shot framing, and set work—I thrive in collaborative environments and adapt quickly in dynamic settings.
